The sky isn’t the limit at Embassy Garden’s Sky Pool

In 2013, the team at Embassy Gardens faced a particular challenge when it came to whereabouts they would be able to fit a pool in. Limited on outdoor (and on ground space), they looked up to the sky and found a solution to their problem. That was how the Sky Pool idea was born – a transparent pool between the Legacy Buildings, allowing swimmers to look down on the world beneath them.

Brought together by architects Hal Currey and Arup Associates, as well as structural engineers  Eckersley O’Callaghan, the Sky Pool will sit 10 storeys up and span 14 metres (25 metres in total) between the two buildings. Having been developing and testing the pool in Colorado for the last year, the pool has now arrived at Embassy Gardens, been installed and is awaiting its opening to residents later in the year.

This innovative, ground-breaking pool will be the first of its kind in the world, setting the development at Embassy Gardens apart from the rest of the competition not just in London, but globally.
