International Retail Giant ZARA to open new store on Battersea’s Electric Boulevard

Battersea power station shopping

ZARA is set to open its first south of the river central London store on the capital’s newest high street, and it’s bound to be a hit with followers of fashion when the area opens to visitors from September 2022.

Electric Boulevard leads visitors from the nearby Tube station to the south entrance of Battersea Power Station and will feature a mixture of bars, restaurants, shops, office space and a new 164 room hotel from art’otel®, the brand’s first hotel to open in the UK.

Situated in the Prospect Place building, designed by world renowned architect Frank Gehry, ZARA’s new 48,000sq ft store will be spread over two floors and feature all the brand’s must-have product ranges including Woman, Man, Kids and Home collections.

Of course, ZARA is just the latest international brand due to open its doors in Battersea. The likes of Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Ray Ban, The Kooples, Mango, Reiss, Aēsop have all committed to having retail units within the halls of Battersea Power Station itself, which is slated for an autumn opening, and they’ll be joined by an 18,500 sq ft food hall concept as well as offices, event spaces and residential apartments.

“Bringing powerhouse brands such as ZARA to Battersea Power Station is very exciting and helps firmly cement us as the new go-to place for shopping in London. There is no doubt that Battersea Power Station will be one of the must-visit destinations once we open the Grade II* listed building and Electric Boulevard to the public from September this year.” Sam Cotton, Head of Leasing at Battersea Power Station Development Company (BPSDC).
