Battersea Power Station Opening Date Announced

Battersea power station circus west

Friday 14th October 2022

Finally, after a long wait the opening date has been set for 6 weeks time.

40 years after Battersea Power Station closed the Grade 2 listed building is reopening for visitors and tourists to view its full restoration, and is expected to become one of London's most exciting retail and leisure destinations.

Win a Golden Ticket

There are three golden tickets to the grand opening that can be won on social media - keep an eye out on this link and maybe you can be one of the lucky few.

So what's on?

There's Lift 109 - which has to be a highlight of any tour of the Power Station.  Incredible views from 109m above sea level, accessed by glass lift up the north west chimney!

The Control Rooms have been turned into an event space and an all day bar. Get up close to the original controls that once powered huge swathes of London - and all whilst having a drink!

There are a plethora of fabulous brands in the shopping centre - open in the first phase are the likes of Hugo Boss, Theory, Lacoste, Ralph Lauren, Aesop, lululemon, Uniqlo, Mango and a new neighbourhood bookstore, Battersea Bookshop, from specialist bookseller Stanfords. The shops are located in the two Turbine Halls A & B - they might sound similar but they look so very different! Turbine Hall A has been given an art deco style harking back to the 1930s when the Station was originally contructed. Turbine Hall B on the other hand has been given a brutalist look from the 1950s - much more industrial but just as impressive.

More brands will open in the coming months undoubtedly making the Battersea Power Station shopping experience one of the best, and most impressive in London.

What about food?

The Boiler House will be the food hall - this isn't due to open until 2023. Until then you can still sample the delights of the bars and restaurants with river views in the Circus West Village.

The 14th October 2022 will be a date to remember!
